New rheumatology ward inaugurated in Delhi AIIMS

A relief news has come from Delhi AIIMS for rheumatology patients. A new ward has been inaugurated in the rheumatology department, where patients can now be admitted. This will prove to be a relief especially for financially helpless patients.

Earlier treatment was only in day care

Earlier, patients suffering from rheumatic diseases in Delhi AIIMS were treated in day care. Where there was a provision of only 6 beds. 

As per the rule, patients can be admitted in day care only for 6-8 hours. In such a situation, many patients had to take admission in private wards to get admitted in the hospital. Where treatment is not free. 

With the inauguration of the new ward in AIIMS rheumatology department, such patients will now get relief.

Lab will also be established

Now a separate lab of AIIMS rheumatology department will also be established for the examination of rheumatic patients. 

However, it may take some time. All kinds of necessary tests will be available in this lab. Patients will be tested here at a lower cost than private labs.

There will be facility in getting biologics

There is a provision of 20 beds in AIIMS Rheumatology Ward. Due to which patients with chronic conditions will now have the facility to get biologics injections. 

Let us tell you here that before giving biologics injection, some necessary tests are also done on the patients. The report of some of these tests takes more than a day to come.

 In such a situation, patients will now be able to get tested here by getting admitted.
